Presenting at the Psychological Club in Zurich |

| My Psychological Orientation
I am a Jungian analyst in private practice here in Colorado Springs and in San Antonio, Texas, being licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in both states. I have graduate degrees in both Theology and Counseling, and have a special interest in how our religious instinct is expressed through the psyche.
In September 2019 I completed my training at the Research and Training Centre for Depth Psychology according to C.G. Jung and Marie-Louise von Franz in Zurich, Switzerland, graduating as a Diplomate Jungian Analyst.
My early background includes a first career in the Catholic Church, working as a layperson in various ministries, including pastoral care and religious education. I eventually felt pulled between a vocation as a spiritual director and as a psychotherapist, and becoming a Jungian analyst has allowed me to combine both.
I particularly value the many wellsprings of the symbolic both here in the Springs and in San Antonio, from a vital community of artists and poets to the blend of many unique cultural and geographic influences. And I look forward remaining deeply connected to the land, to nature, in both Colorado and Texas, as a renewing source of psychic life.

Analytical Training in Switzerland
I was fortunate to study at the Research and Training Centre for Depth Psychology according to C. G. Jung and Marie-Louise von Franz in Zurich, Switzerland. This Centre was founded in 1994 at the urging of Marie-Louise von Franz, in order to provide training according to the original spirit and perspective of C.G. Jung.

Types of Clients and Issues
I see individuals in analysis and therapy for a wide variety of psychological issues. Therapy may only consist of a short term focus on a specific issue for some clients, but in many cases one discovers that more deeply rooted change is being sought, and that usually takes time. Nonetheless, the client is always the one in charge of how far and how long therapy may last. I provide input along the way, and ultimately the goal is to connect the client with the spiritus rector, the guiding spirit within, so that growth is a lifelong process. And as a Jungian analyst, I pay special attention to all those directives from the unconscious that show up in our symptoms, in our dreams, and in creative work and fantasy.
To expand upon that connection with the unconscious, I also provide a number of opportunities for learning through dream groups, reading groups, and periodic workshops and seminars. You can learn more about those options through the website.

The fee for analysis is on a sliding scale, with the full fee set at $125 per hour, and the sliding scale between $75-$125. I do not have a specific formula for calculating the sliding scale, but try to find the appropriate fee together with the client. Note: During this COVID-19 period, I am seeing clients at an even more reduced fee for those in economic hardship. Please ask about this if it would apply to your situation.
